WORK IN CANADA
For the canadian people work meening more that gain money, the work to have a better salary and a better social position, for that reason they ask this question to other people: "What work do you do?" . The social position means a lot for the canadians, so their lifes sometimes are so stressful.

A degree does not mean that you going to have a job, you have to training every time that you can do it, because the technology is changing every day. Sometimes you have to be aggressive and not afraid to take risks.

FAMILIES

A traditional canadian family is small, there are a mother, father and one or two kids. They does not live in extendend families, the parents live alone in assisted care centers that is normal when their children grow up and live his own life.

The marriage is easy, that depends of the rules of each province. Generally you must be 18 or 19 years to getting married. So you also can apply for a divorce if you want, the rules are different in each province.

In Canada you can not marry with a close relative, but you can marry with someone of the same sex. You need a marriage licence issued by the municipal government, before you are married. But if you do not want to be marry you can live in common-law.

The fathers take a very important role in the family, they care the childrens, cook and clean, also he works for the support of the family. The mother can work outside the home for help to the support and the children can have a part-time job after school.

So the canadian families have things in common with us and other things are new for us.

Canada is a multicultural society because there are three main groups of aboriginal peoples. So their spiritual beliefs have been passed generation to generation. Moreover, the first explorers was English and French so this is an other reason for the multicultural society.
